A. Lange & Söhne Grosse Lange 1

At first glance, the A. Lange & Söhne Grosse Lange 1 resembles an "enlarged" version of the Lange 1. Apart from the 2.5 millimetres larger case, there are hardly any differences to the predecessor model. But appearances are deceptive: despite the resemblance to its original model, the Grosse Lange 1 is a new concept in watch mechanics. Instead of drawing on available resources, a new movement was designed for the Grosse Lange 1, which takes full account of the arrangement of all the displays. The dial of the timepiece consists of two sub-dials for the hour and minute indications as well as the small seconds. A power reserve indicator and a large concise date complete the ensemble.
